Pure Skateshop in Redmond is Closing

So, I bought a skateboard shop in Redmond, Oregon this year. I already have to close because there just is no money coming in there. It fucking sucks that a core skateshop cant survive. I have a few things that I blame for this happening and would like to outline them in the next few paragraphs.
First of all. Too many people shop online. I am guilty of this as well, but I would never buy my skateboard online. Not saying I didnt buy from CCS when I lived in Sweet Home and the closest skateshop was 45 minutes away, and I didnt have a car, but when there is a skateshop in your town, buy from them. Your being an asshole if you dont, and you know it.
Secondly, I just read that Zumiez had their best financial quarter in the history of their business. That is rad that a company that exploits activities that I love is succeeding so well. Fuck corporate mall chain bullshit stores in their fucking ass. If you shop in a mall skate store, go fuck yourself. You are a spineless worm who should be beaten with a stick.
Third, scooter kids are worthless and probably had a hand in fucking over core skateshops. Especially with them allowing scooters in the Redmond Skatepark. Some of those little fuckers used to buy skateboards, but now they spend their money on $600 scooters. Do kids never want to grow up and get laid? I mean these things are the stupidest thing in the world. I know some of you say, "Well hey, I saw a scooter kid do a backflip. They can do cool tricks." Fuck that. It looks stupid when they do any trick on that thing. Sorry if your kid rides one of these things. Scooters fucking suck balls. I think I hate them.

In conclusion, GO FUCK YOURSELF MALL CHAINS. GO FUCK YOURSELF INTERNET SALES*, AND MOST OF ALL, GO FUCK YOURSELF SCOOTER KIDS.

*Small businesses that sell online dont really bother me, im talking about the ones that just undercut everyone and have no real connection to the market they are selling to. Those ones are the ones that can fuck off.

New house naming contest

So, I am in the process of moving into this new apartment with my friend JP. It is looking pretty barren at this point, and it is without a name. I think a place like this needs a name so when I say I'm just going home, I can say something cooler like I'm headed to the 9th level of Gondor or something. So I'm giving everyone a chance to help out with a name, or vote on some of the names I came up with. It is an upstairs unit, so I think a name that implys height or a perch would suffice. So the names I'm brainstorming are as follows:

1. The Tower of Isengard
2. The Eagles Perch
3. "No you cant stay on my couch"
4. Meth-Lab 3000

So, I went to a musical this month. It was evil dead the musical. I am a total evil dead nerd, so I had to go and see it. They announced they had a special guest, and it turned out to be mutha-fuckin' ASH himself! Bruce Campbell. I was pretty stoked. He did a Q & A session after the show, and I found out that I am not as big as a nerd as some others out there. I wanted to get a picture with him, but he snuck out the backdoor like Kurt stealing beers from Aarons house.

Bruce asked if anyone had any evil dead tattoo's, and if they did he would sign them if the person would get his signature tattooed by it. This kid had no tattoo's but was willing to get Bruce's signature as his first. Wow.

Palm springs skatepark

Just took a trip to Palm Desert and I got to skate this gem. I do have to say it was one of the best parks I have ever skated in my life. The street section was rad, so was the main bowl and the pool was epic. Too bad it was 113 degrees when I skated it and I almost threw up from the heat. Killer none the less.

S: What would you consider to be your spirit animal?

Sandwich recipe

Here is the best sandwich ever. Lets call it a grilled onion and ham suprise. 'cause after a couple of these... SUPRISE, you're overweight.

What yer gonna need:

1) Onion, loosely chopped

2) Virginia ham slices

3)Slice up some Cheddar Cheese

4) Bread of your choice. I used wheat cause white bread kinda sucks.

5) Mayo and Mustard

First. Grill up them onions in some olive oil over medium heat until they are carmelized and soft in texture. Set these aside in a bowl. Use a cast iron pan. Non-stick pans are for pussies.

Second. Fix up yer sandwich. Put the ham on 1 piece, the mayo, mustard and cheese on the other and place your sauteed onions on the cheese side.

Third. put some more olive oil in your pan and place the sandwich in there like you would a grilled cheese.

Forth. Cook until bread is slightly browned on one side, then flip it and repeat on the other side. Keep up on this, bread burns quick as hell. Also make sure your pan isnt too hot cause you don't want to burn the bread before you melt the cheese.

Here is what your final product should resemble. This sandwich goes great with coca cola, orange juice or whatever I drink a bunch of now since I gave up boozin'. Enjoy this shit, it won't give you swine flu.

I bought this 7" about 5 years ago. Just listened to it recently. It is so great. Everyone should own a record player. It is just more exiting to put on a record than just push play on a ipod or something like that. Having to drop a needle on the vinyl and waiting for the music is a rad experience.

So there is this group of kids that live near my house. They all have bikes and must have just got done watching the x games because soon after these ramps started showing up. There were many more ramps put up all around but had gotten torn down before I was able to document their gnarlitude. I did get to see the ramp technician one day: A child of 5 with footy pajamas on who was nailing a ramp to the sidewalk. Crazy. check out the nails in the landing ramp.
