Pure Skateshop in Redmond is Closing
So, I bought a skateboard shop in Redmond, Oregon this year. I already have to close because there just is no money coming in there. It fucking sucks that a core skateshop cant survive. I have a few things that I blame for this happening and would like to outline them in the next few paragraphs.
First of all. Too many people shop online. I am guilty of this as well, but I would never buy my skateboard online. Not saying I didnt buy from CCS when I lived in Sweet Home and the closest skateshop was 45 minutes away, and I didnt have a car, but when there is a skateshop in your town, buy from them. Your being an asshole if you dont, and you know it.
Secondly, I just read that Zumiez had their best financial quarter in the history of their business. That is rad that a company that exploits activities that I love is succeeding so well. Fuck corporate mall chain bullshit stores in their fucking ass. If you shop in a mall skate store, go fuck yourself. You are a spineless worm who should be beaten with a stick.
Third, scooter kids are worthless and probably had a hand in fucking over core skateshops. Especially with them allowing scooters in the Redmond Skatepark. Some of those little fuckers used to buy skateboards, but now they spend their money on $600 scooters. Do kids never want to grow up and get laid? I mean these things are the stupidest thing in the world. I know some of you say, "Well hey, I saw a scooter kid do a backflip. They can do cool tricks." Fuck that. It looks stupid when they do any trick on that thing. Sorry if your kid rides one of these things. Scooters fucking suck balls. I think I hate them.
In conclusion, GO FUCK YOURSELF MALL CHAINS. GO FUCK YOURSELF INTERNET SALES*, AND MOST OF ALL, GO FUCK YOURSELF SCOOTER KIDS.
*Small businesses that sell online dont really bother me, im talking about the ones that just undercut everyone and have no real connection to the market they are selling to. Those ones are the ones that can fuck off.
